Woman Held In Psych Ward For 8 Days After A Cop Refused To Believe She Owned A BMW!

Last year, Kamilah Brock was in shock and disbelief after being unlawfully arrested and placed in psychiatric care for eight days!

She was force-fed pills and injections, plus taxed with a $13,000 bill for her time in the hospital.
Last Thursday was the first time she spoke out about the “nightmare” she endured. She’s filing a lawsuit against the NYPD for violating her 14th Amendment rights, citing that she had succumbed to “unwanted and unwarranted intrusion of her personal integrity, loss of liberty [and] mental anguish.”
It all started last September when the banker was driving her 3-series BMW and pulled up to a traffic light. Next, an NYPD cop pulls up to her and asks why her hands were not on the steering wheel…although she was at a red light.

Brock, understandingly confused, explained that she was “just dancing” at the red light, but then she was asked to step out of the car.
Brock alleges that for absolutely no reason, she was arrested and taken to NYPD’s 30th precinct. She said that she wasn’t booked or anything, but just a few hours later, she was released and told that she could pick up her car the next day at the police precinct.
Kamilah divulged the following events of her ordeal to PIX11 news. Upon arriving to the police substation Kamilah recalled, “I just felt like from the moment I said I owned a BMW, I was looked at as a liar. They put me in handcuffs and said they just need to put me in handcuffs to take me to my car. I said OK, whatever it’s gonna take to get to my car.”

Next, she was approached by EMS that claimed they were taking her to her car. Instead, they brought her, handcuffs and all, to Harlem Hospital where her she was forced to take dosages of Lithium and other powerful sedatives.
According to the Huffington post, Brock claims that during her time in the hospital she was forced to recant that she owned a BMW, that she was a banker and that President Obama followed her on Twitter.

The lawsuit states that these were the determinants that allowed them to diagnose Brock with bi-polar disorder. Brock’s lawyer Michael Lamonsoff challenged that, proving that she had no history of mental illness by way of her health records and that those three statements his client was forced to repeat were all unequivocally true.
Both Brock and her lawyer believe that race played a part in the ordeal. Lamonsoff argued, “If a white woman was trying to reclaim her BMW impounded by police, would she have been made a victim?” he retorted. “Would she have been questioned? Would she have been subject to sarcastic comments? Would she be made to justify who she was in order to ask for help? I don’t think so.” Currently, Brock is suing for “unspecified damages.”
