Woman Sues Casino After They Offered Her A Steak Dinner & $2.25 Instead Of $43 Million Jackpot

A Queens woman is pissed at a local casino after they offered her a steak dinner instead of the cash prize she won at the slot machine!

According to NY Daily News, Katrina Bookman was playing on “Sphinx Slot Machine” at Resorts World Casino in Queens, New York, when the machine told her that she won $42,949,672.76! When she went to pick up her money she was in for a rude awakening. Casino employees told her that it was a glitch in the system and offered her a nice steak dinner and $2.25… the prize they claim she was supposed to receive!

Bookman declined the offer and hit the casino with a lawsuit. The mother of four is asking for $43 million in damages and claims she suffered emotional distress.

“You can’t claim a machine is broken because you want it to be broken. Does that mean it wasn’t inspected? Does it mean it wasn’t maintained?” Bookman’s lawyer Alan Ripka told CNN Money. “And if so, does that mean that’s people that played before had zero chance of winning?”

Back in August a spokesperson from the resort said her win was an obvious malfunction and that the Slot Machine’s highest payout was only $6,500.

To make matters worse #Roommates, the state Gaming Commission also shot her down stating that the machine has a sign on it that says “Malfunctions void all pays and plays.”

Does she have a case #Roommates?
