Well, think about if we could relive some of those same moments again,but in a sequel?! Welp, Loretta Devine has reportedly let the cat out thebag when she sat down with Hollywood Today Live.
She said that a ‘Waiting to Exhale 2’ is actually in the works, butsince the full cast from the original movie isn’t here to play in the sequel, production had been halted.
“Everything happened so quick because Gregory passed andthen Whitney passed and its like you cant start a movie with two
funerals and they were like the key characters,” she continues, “andso everything just sort of got scattered after that but I think TerryMcMillan [the original author] is still trying to make it happen.”
Although, we will definitely be missing the late Whitney Houston, I’msure we still would love to see our other favorite characters likeBernadine, Robin, and Gloria. Davis confessed, “Oh God, everyone wouldbe on board. Whitney was even like, the last time I talked to her, OhGod I cant wait. Im going to get myself together to do this, and itjust didnt happen.”
