Whew! At the top of this week, The Shade Room exclusively reported details on YG and Saweetie parting ways romantically. Less than 72 hours later, YG was seemingly flirting with his ex-girlfriendKehlani.
Then, mixed reactions to that grew. In response, the ‘Who Do You Love’ rapper clarified that he’s only here for one ex-girlfriend: Saweetie. YG explained his lingering interest in the ‘Icy’ artist via Instagram. Taking to his Story, he wrote, “The only block I’m tryna spin.”
The words were attached to a clip of YG hugging Saweetie from the back and recording in a selfie position. Meanwhile, his former bae appeared emotionless yet comfortable with the rapper planting kisses on her cheek.
As previously reported, YG and Saweetie’s romance was confirmed in May 2023 when they were photographed spending alone time in a pool. However, a source recently told TSR the couple had a mutual breakup, believing they’re ‘better’ as friends and busy with their independent careers.

So far, YG’s ‘spin the block’ tease has received nearly 10,000 comments on The Shade Room’s Instagram feed. Just like reactions to the alleged flirting action with Kehlani, his announcement got mixed reactions.
veexlei wrote, “You ever break up with someone, but they ain’t break up with you!?”
818brbie seemed here for it, writing, “Aww period!!!!”
iammiriamsintim joked, “Saweetie, hold on a little bit longer. I already called the cops they coming.”
shelovecj pointed out, “I guess we know who left who.”
itzbeautifulgurl said, “N****s would try to spin till they dizzy just to fumble us again.”
Meanwhile, nunu4realbtch suggested, “She needs to spin back to Quavo.”
merieanna wrote, “It’s too early in 2024 to be spinning the block. Grow up and learn to love properly or leave people alone!”
Saweetie, however, has NOT given YG’s post any public attention within the first 12 hours it was live. As of Wednesday morning (Jan. 17), the post was still on YG’s Insta-Story.
As mentioned, YG started getting the side-eye after fans peeped him in Kehlani’s comment section following the Saweetie breakup news.
The LA-based rapper dropped an ‘OK’ fingers emoticon under the singer’s recent gym flex. Her Instagram post showed a full and half-body side view.

In October 2019, YG expressed regret to TSR for the appearance of kissing another woman while dating Kehlani. They had just gone public the month before.
Like Saweetie, Kehlani hasn’t responded to YG.
