Whew! The timeline got real loud after NBA YoungBoy publicly called out streamer PlaqueBoyMax for critiquing his music. What started as a simple live reaction quickly turned into a heated exchange, prompting social media users to weigh in.
The drama appeared to begin Friday night when PlaqueBoyMax addressed comments from someone affiliated with YoungBoys camp during a livestream. The remarks reportedly came from Montana, who is widely known online as someone close to the rapper.
Montana criticized Max over his live reaction to YoungBoys latest single, ‘Headtap,’ suggesting the streamer was hating and should simply say he doesnt rock with their camp instead of reacting publicly. Fans speculated that the comments stemmed from Maxs recent stream, where he said he didnt like ‘Headtap’ while reacting in real time.
In response, Max stood firm. He told viewers he would not blindly praise a song just to avoid backlash. According to him, it was simply his opinion. He added that it was all love and clarified that he still supports YoungBoys music overall. However, that explanation didnt seem to be enough. YoungBoy later hopped on X and sent a direct message to Max.
Instagram users quickly flooded comment sections with their takes.

The moment escalated even further when Max was live-streaming with Blueface as YoungBoys tweet began circulating online. Despite YoungBoys warning not to respond, Max addressed the situation head-on. After reading the tweet aloud to his viewers, he questioned what he had done wrong.
He reiterated that he was simply offering his honest opinion as a fan. Max also made it clear he would not apologize, stating that he didnt believe he had done anything wrong. Still, he maintained that he plans to continue playing YoungBoys music on the stream.
