Congrats are in order for City Girls’ Yung Miami and her boyfriend, Southside. She revealed today that she gave birth to their baby girl, Summer Miami.
There were rumors swirling Thursday that she had her baby in Miami, but it wasn’t until Friday that she confirmed the good news by posting a picture of her newborn and Southside, who is sleeping right next to the baby in Yung Miami’s hospital bed.
She captioned the photo: “Summer Miami. So happy & blessed.”
Yung Miami announced back in June that she was expecting her second child. She made that announcement through Instagram as well by sharing some intimate footage from the City GIrls documentary.
In an emotional scene, Miami calls Quality Control Music CEO Pierre Thomas and tells him that she is pregnant. It is clear the announcement was not easy for her, as she shed tears just uttering the words.
“I’m scared because I know that JT is in jail and I’m supposed to be out here holding down the group,” she said. “I don’t know, like, I’m pregnant.”
Yung Miami had been denying rumors that she was pregnant for some time, making it clear she wanted to be the one to let the people know on her time. Miami captioned the snippet from the documentary: “On my own terms.”
