Young Thug Tells Billboard There Will Be Two Brides At His Upcoming Wedding

Young Thug recently dropped his highly anticipated mixtape ‘Jeffrey’ and aside from his choice to name his songs after public figures that inspire him, Young Thug’s album cover may have really stole the show.

The ATL rapper is best known for not only his music but his choice in wardrobe as he has openly admitted to wearing women’s clothing. On his mixtape cover, Thugger was sporting an extravagant ruffled gown defying the lines of gender identity when it comes to fashion.

Well the daring 25-year-old sat with Billboard and defended his choice in wearing feminine clothes.

“When it comes to swag,” he told Billboard, “there’s no gender involved.” He goes on to say that the wearing the dress just felt like it was meant to be.  “When I seen that dress,” he says, “I felt like God gave it to me.”

Well, it looks like Young Thug doesn’t plan on slowing down when it comes to making controversial fashion choices because he also revealed that when it comes to  marrying his longtime girlfriend, Jerrika Karlae, there will be two brides at the wedding. Apparently, he will be wearing a “statement gown” for his own marriage.

When it comes to the criticism, it seems like Young Thug is already used to it since he had to deal with it as a younger child.

“When I was 12, my feet were so small I wore my sisters’ glitter shoes,” he said. “My dad would whoop me: ‘You’re not going to school now, you’ll embarrass us!’ But I never gave a f— what people think.”

Lets chat below, do you think as time goes on gender expectations should loosen up when it comes to fashion?
