Former NFL Player Will Allen Sentenced To Prison For $35 Million Ponzi Scheme

Will Allen, a former cornerback for both the New York Giants and the New England Patriots was recently sentenced to prison time, along with his business partner for running a Ponzi scheme.

According to the New York Post, Allen and his business partner Susan Daub collected more than $35 million from investors between 2012 and 2015 by claiming that the money would be used for “high-interest loans to professional athletes.”

Their business, which was located in Massachusetts, made some of the loans. However, they also used the money for themselves and for other ventures.

Both Allen and Daub pled guilty back in November on charges that included wire fraud and money laundering. Each were sentenced to six years in prison and three years of supervised release.

Allen last played for the Patriots before retiring back in 2013.
