Jemele Hill is finally breaking her silence about her recent 2-week ESPN suspension that sent social media in a frenzy over the last couple of weeks.
Hill was suspended after encouraging people who weren’t here for Jerry Jones’ national anthem policy to boycott his sponsors. ESPN claimed her tweet was a company violation.
Many came to Hill’s side but she says the network did the right thing.
“I deserved a suspension,” Hill told TMZ at LAX … “I violated the policy. Going forward we’ll be in a good healthy place.”
Hill says she isn’t taking anything back she said about Donnie but regrets putting her show in that kind of spotlight. She also said she has nothing but love for ESPN.
“I don’t feel suppressed. I love ESPN as much as ever. I am okay. I feel good.”
She’s expected to return to work on Monday.
