Kim Kardashian Is Being Sued For $100 Million Over ‘LuMee’ Phone Case
Back in 2013, a man named Hooshmand Harooni obtained a patent for an “integrated lighting accessory and case for a mobile phone deviceā and licensed it exclusively to Snap Light LLC, according to #PageSix. Fast forward to this Monday, Harooni filed a lawsuit against #KimKardashian and her company Kimsaprincess as well as #UrbanOutfitters for infringing upon his patent.
For over a year now, Kim has been promoting her ‘LuMee’ lighted selfie phone case and Harooni claims that her product is almost the exact same as his. The only difference between the two products is that his includes a built-in charger whereas Kim’s does not. The man claims that “it has been extremely difficult for Snaplight to compete in the selfie case market against Ms. Westās product influence and Defendantsā ongoing infringementā and that he has āsuffered financially as a result.ā
Kim’s team denies Harooni’s claims and doesn’t even believe that the lawsuit is relevant. āThe patent lawsuit filed by Snap Light has no merit and is just another attempted shakedown,ā a spokesperson for Kim tells Page Six Tuesday. āKim has done absolutely nothing wrong.ā
What are your thoughts, Roommates?!
