Kyle & Christopher Massey Make History, First Siblings To Simultaneously Be Nominated For The Same Emmy Category!

According to the AJC, brothers Kyle & Christopher Massey were recognized by the Georgia General Assembly.
They are the first siblings and African Americans to be nominated simultaneously for an Emmy in the same category of Outstanding Children’s Programming! Kyle was nominated for his role as Cory Baxter on the Disney Channel show, “That’s So Raven,” and Chris for playing Michael Barrett on Nickelodeon’s “Zoe 101.”
Now, I bet you’re wondering what these guys have been doing since they’ve managed to avoid the public eye. Well, they’re philanthropists! Christopher told the AJC that he and his brother dedicate 25 to 35 percent of their time to working for charities.
For instance, they started the Starkey Hearing Foundation which provides hearing aids to those in need. They have also engaged in mission trips all over world, including South Africa, Vietnam and China. The young men also serve as mentors to young boys via the Steve Harvey Foundation, which mentors young boys, and they have a relationship with Christian Care Foundation in Union City.
See, just because you don’t hear about a celebrity all the time doesn’t mean they aren’t working or helping people! This was such a delight to learn!
