‘Roseanne’ Is Reportedly Getting An Eight-Episode Revival

It looks like the popular sitcom “Roseanne” will be getting a revival with this year marking the 20th anniversary since the series ended.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the star and creator Roseanne Barr is on board for the revival and so is John Goodman (Dan Conner) and Sara Gilbert (Darlene Conner).

The show’s revival is currently being shopped to different networks, with Netflix being one of the networks bidding on the project. The show, which started back in 1989, followed the Conner family in their home state of Illinois.

The show would go on to win a total of four Emmys throughout it’s run, officially ending in 1997.

Revivals of popular television shows have been a recent trend; first starting with the show “Full House,” which is now a Netflix show called “Fuller House.” Most recently the show “Gilmore Girls,” was also revived for a special four episodes, which also appeared on Netflix.

Sara Gilbert is expected to executive produce the revival along with the show’s original producers, Rosanne Barr, Tom Werner and Bruce Helford.
