#Roommates, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! This sister knows a thing or two about making a sweet glass because she recently turned a bad day into a creative marketing opportunity.
Shia Yearwood, a 23-year-old hairstylist from Charlotte, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge last week. She turned herself in for violating a domestic protective order related to a child custody case, and her mug shot was embarrassingly posted on the @CharlotteMugs Twitter account.
“Okay, but who did her hair?” one person tweeted. Instead of looking at the glass half empty, Shia decided to use the pic to promote her hair braiding business! She retweeted her mugshot with the caption, “#BraidsByShia Can’t hold me back either.”
”Lol did y’all think I was ashamed of my mugshot? Come on now,” she wrote.
As a result of all this free publicity, sis says her business is boomin’!
