Starbucks Enlists Common For Help During Their Anti-Racial Bias Training

On Tuesday, Starbucks will close 8,000 of its locations for a scheduled anti-racial bias training session.

According to The Seattle Times, last week the company revealed a look inside of the curriculum developed for its training session.

During the preview, it was revealed that Starbucks has enlisted the help of rapper/ actor Common.

Along with Starbucks chief executive Kevin Johnson and chairman Howard Schultz, Common will appear in training videos that include recorded messages for employees.

The four-hour racial-bias training comes after two young men were arrested while waiting for a friend inside of a Philadelphia Starbucks.

Since the incident, the two young men have settled for $1 each, and a program that helps the youth learn about entrepreneurship.

Starbucks also publicly announced that people could gather inside of its establishments without having to purchase any of their products.
