Roommates, do you guys remember the drama between #TamronHall and #NBC back in February? Well, the tv network cut an hour from the former #TodayShow co-host’s 3-hour time slot to make room for #MegynKelly’s show! Hall ended up leaving, but, Roommates, when God has something for you it cannot be taken away! Today, it was announced that Hall will be developing and hosting a brand new daytime talk show with the #WeinsteinCompany that could rival Megyn Kelly’s show.
The show is not yet titled, but will cover “current events, human-interest stories and interviews with celebrities and newsmakers,” according to Variety. It will be taped in front of a live audience and Weinstein says the project “will fill the current void in daytime for viewers looking for a blend of heart, humor and information.” …so it’s basically for everyone that isn’t watching Megyn Kelly…
Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company expressed how excited he is to be working with Hall and said, “I’ve been working towards developing a talk show for a long time, but needed to make sure I did it the right way and with the right person to take the lead. Tamron is far and away that person.” He continued, “She’s an exceptionally talented journalist whose interviews masterfully walk the line between entertainment and hard hitting. We couldn’t be more thrilled to begin this new venture with her.”
