Can we just take a moment and acknowledge how good 30 is looking on Solange?!
As she celebrates her 30th birthday, we thought what better time to revisit some of her best throwback moments.
Although for some time she was referred to as “Beyonce’s Little Sister,” she’s since paved quite a road for herself, proving that she’s just as dope.
She’s had her time with the music and entertainment industry and proved herself to be multitalented; but let’s not forget that according to the elevator footage, “Beyonce’s little sister” is about that life!
We might as well get that throwback moment out of the way, first and foremost!
1. Solange’s elevator attack against Jay-Z. There’s no need for explanation. We all know (or assume to know) what happened there that day in 2014.
2. Solange’s co-starring role in Lil’ Romeo’s “True Love” video. The glow-up is real! The Romeo fans here at TSR were highly upset Romeo had another girl in his video all dreamy eyes over him! We love you now though, Solange!
3. Who remembers Solange being in “Bring It On: All or Nothing” back in 2006? That’s definitely a throwback moment!
4. The large banana at the club. So back in 2011, Solange got into it with the police because she was attempting to get in Cameo (Miami) with an alleged 5-foot-tall inflatable banana.
Has anyone figured out what purpose the banana was supposed to have been serving if it made it inside Cameo?
5. Solange’s NyQuil OD. Back in 2009, she was admitted to the hospital after she took too much NyQuil on a flight. Her series of Tweets suggested that she was sleepy and then three hours later she tweeted ” Woaah…… How’d I end up in the hospital?”
6. Solange (and Alan Ferguson’s) Internet break. The #BlackGirlMagic was real on Solange’s wedding day back in 2014. How can anyone forget those pictures after they gave us so much life?! In case you forgot:
We could name memorable moments for days — that’s how much of “just beyonce’s little sister” she is not. But in the meantime, we want to know what you most remember about Solanges teenage and twenty-something years!
