#TSRPositiveImages: Deshaun Watson of the Houston Texans Donates His First Game Check To Stadium Employees Affected By Hurricane Harvey

The NFL season is officially underway, and many players are making the effort to help those that have been affected by the recent natural disasters.

According to ESPN, Deshaun Watson, the Houston Texans rookie quarterback, donated his first game check to three women that work in the cafeteria at NRG Stadium. Hurricane Harvey affected all three ladies and Watson wanted to help by giving them his first game check.

In a video shared by the Texans, Watson says to the ladies, “For what you all do for us every day and never complain, I really appreciate you all, so I wanted to give my first game check to y’all to help y’all out in some type of way. Here you guys go.”

Watson reportedly has a base salary of $465,000, donated a check for $27,353.

Coach Bill O’Brien said, “A lot of the people who work so hard for us behind the scenes, especially the people in the cafeteria, I mean, they’re here at 4:30 in the morning. And some of those people in Harvey, they lost everything. A number of our players donated money to help them, and he gave his game check, which is incredible.”
