Yesterday one of Dubai’s most luxurious hotels, The Address Downtown, went up in flames leaving many to wonder what happened!
A source told CNN that the fire started out in a residence on the building’s 20th floor when curtains caught on fire.
According to DailyMail, the fire started around 9:30 pm, Dubai time Thursday night. Firefighters managed to battle the intense flames, just hours before a major fireworks show was set to begin just 500 yards from the hotel.
At least 60 people were injured, and one suffered a heart attack due to heavy smoke and overcrowding. Thankfully no one is believed to have been killed.
