As Black History month is approaching we should be celebrating black life, but it’s sad to say the fight isn’t over just yet.
Martin Luther King once said “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter,” which is why we can’t just sit back and let the events that are taking place at Pickerington High School North in Ohio, go unnoticed and not talked about.
Some students have taken it upon themselves to make a mockery of African Americans. One Caucasian student snap chatted one of her friends in blackface, with the caption #niggamegan. Another decided to paint his back red and painted, “Former Slave Owner,” on top of it in blue letters.
