Oop! Looks like Kanye West ain’t the only one out here going zero to a hunnid when someone comes for wifey because Reverend Devon Franklin clapped back at a fan when she tried to come for his boo, Meagan Good!!
Yesterday, the couple decided to spend a part of their Valentine’s Day at the popular One Church LA Live’s Valentine’s Day event to promote their book entitled The Wait. They discussed their journey of celibacy before they got married and how hard it was. Well when it came time for questions one bold lady got up trying to read miss Meagan but hubby wasn’t having it chileeee!
After a short speech about having the Holy Spirit in your life and calling Meagan Goode “beautiful” she went on to say, “Ima say something to you…This is not offensive but I was at the grocery store and I looked at a news stand and I saw you and you had your breast showing….”
Oop… after some side eyes and questioning on where she was taking it she continued to say,
“So I wasn’t gonna come here, I wasn’t, but the Lord brought me here to see you, you’re beautiful. You are a beautiful young woman and your testimony is awesome. The lord let me come to push pass the judgement…because you have to make sure what you say and what you do match up…so you gonna cover up right?”
Well Devon was all smiles until she said that and boy did he go off! He responded back saying, “Wait a minute…no that is not what we’re here for. She’s not gonna cover up, she gon’ wear what she wants to wear in the name of Jesus…amen. Yes she will! God bless you, we love you, I love you dearly but she has been as Christian as she is right now when she wore whatever she wanted to wear, so no we ain’t doing that!”
Lord and he aint stop there!
He goes on to say, “Y’all about to see another Devon that y’all ain’t never seen! Remember I’m from Oakland now.”
He could tell it really hurt his wife as it looked like she even teared up from the comment so he turned over and told her he loved and her gave her a passionate kiss. Yass you better stand for your girl!!!
