The Black Lives Matter Movement is the latest underdog in the fight for racial equality as many struggle to really understand its origins. Sort of like the #BlackPantherParty, the peaceful group passionately and unapologetically stands for a cause that, if you think about it, literally shouldn’t even exist. We all deserve equality, but that doesn’t mean everyone gets it, so, that is why it is imperative to educate people about it! Otherwise, people will act out of ignorance like a few employees over at Facebook.
CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, published a status to a private employees-only page yesterday where he shed light on the blatant disrespect that his black employees are facing. Anonymous employees have been scratching out “black lives matter” and replacing it with “all lives matter” on Facebook’s famous signature wall and while only 2 percent of the company is Black, Zuckerberg acknowledged their struggles in America in hopes of educating the culprits and ultimately putting this behavior to an end.
