Yikes, word on the street is actress Tisha Campbell-Martin and her husband Duane Martin, who is also an actor, have filed for bankruptcy!
According to the Daily Mail, The Martins have filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on Jan. 7 after claiming that they owe over $15 million in debt with only $313,000 in assets to their name!
Heres a breakdown of their assets:
$65,000 in real estate,
$248,000 in personal property which include:
$7,655 joint monthly income (to bad their monthly expenses come up to over $16,000….talk about living beyond your means!)
$2 dogs… yes their documents list their dogs at two dam dollars!
$15,000 in household appliances
$2,500 in sports and hobby equipment
$1,000 in clothing
$2,500 in jewelry
$173 in a credit union
and last but not least…. about $200 in on hand cash
The couple also owns a 2014 Range Rover, 1999 Kawasaki Drifter, 2004 Yamaha Scooter, 2016 Range Rover and 2016 Jeep Wrangler.
Now as far as their debt goes, the Daily Mail is told that they owe $208,611 in tax debt and $113,000 in student loans. They also owe $3 million to a federal bank where they took a real estate loan out of as well as “$9.5 million to the City of Los Angeles for a personal guaranty, $82,000 in back state taxes for 2005 & 2011, $86,000 to New York State Department of Taxation and $30,000 to the State Board of Equalization.”
Sheesh and I thought I had it bad!
Tisha is unsure if the checks will keep coming in from her ABC Show, the Dr. Ken Show, since her contract is up this year and she’s unsure if they’ll ask her back. As for now Martin is still getting checks from the “Real House Husbands Of Hollywood”… wonder if Kevin Hart may look into getting him a raise!
