Bronx- Based Dancewear Company Claps Back At Beyonce For Not Crediting Them In Elle Magazine Spread– Calls It “Greed” And “Distasteful”

Hey #BeyHive! As many of you already know Beyoncé got the chance to grace the cover of Elle magazine where she opened with an intriguing interview. Although Queen Bey looked hella sexy, Bey is being called out once again for not giving credit where it’s due.

According to Page Six, a Bronx-based dancewear company is accusing Queen Bey of not giving the proper credit for outfitting her in their leggings for her Elle spread. David Lee, of KD New York, claims that he lent the magazine over 60 pieces but their leggings were credited to Ivy Park and not his company.

“If you look at what’s up online right now, it’s implying that everything there belongs to another company. We’re a dance manufacturer in The Bronx. We’re talking about Beyoncé and Topshop sharing a little bit of credit.”

He continues saying, “We were fully credited when the story went up, and then I went back a couple of days later and it was removed, Someone [close to Beyoncé] called and said the credits were going to be removed without any explanation.”

An Elle rep responded to the claims saying that “the format of the story was modified solely to benefit user experience and showcase the content.”

Well it looks like the folks over at KD weren’t here for the response at all! “It’s complete greed. It’s disgraceful that they could not share even a fashion credit with a ‘Made in USA’ minority-owned clothing line.”

OOP! Hopefully the Beyhive don’t come stinging to hard after this! Lets chat below!
