Lil Wayne recently decided to stop by DJ Drama’s radio show where he dropped some pretty interesting or shady (depending on how you take it) knowledge on us about hip hop mogul, Jay Z.
The New Orleans rapper decided to take a walk down memory lane where he reminisces on the time Jay Z offered only 175k for a record deal! From the looks of it Lil Wayne knew the details could come off a bit shady and asked Mack Maine if he should spill the tea
“You know it was crazy…since we cool I can tell the story now right? That’s the big homie now,” he said laughing along with Mack Maine.
Then he continued saying,
“You know when I went out there to talk to him about being with Roc-A-Fella, and mind you this was years ago, years ago. First of all, he was at the 40/40 in the daytime, and when I got up there he was talking, it was Denzel [Washington], it was Derek Jeter. I was like, ‘This is his clique?’ And they up there just laughing at jokes I just don’t get. He literally sat me down next to him, and this where all that’s going on at, and he sat me right here. Like, ‘You ain’t a part of this,’ you know? And he would talk to me on the side after every joke.”
Then he drops the bomb,
“That man offered me 175 [thousand],” he said. “I said, ‘Believe that…’ I was looking like, two teeth in my mouth is 175, like two of them. My bottom teeth. So we laugh about that all the time. We joke about it all the time.”
Of course he says its no shade towards the Jigga man as he still seeks guidance and mentorship from him and mentor,”He still hit me up every other day, trying to tell me what move to make and what move not to make.”
One thing is for sure Lil Wayne promises new music real soon, hopefully Cash Money keeps it together because it looks like Jay Z is waiting to make his move!
