Bobby Shmurda Plans To Sue The NYPD For False Arrest

Bobby Shmurda is looking for payback from the NYPD …literally… as it is being reported that he plans to sue the NYPD for false arrest.

Shmurda, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, has been fighting drugs and weapon charges since December 2014 which he claims stemmed from an illegal house search.

According to the Daily News, the original “Shmoney Dancer” has filed a false arrest lawsuit for his June 2014 arrest. He claims that police illegally entered and searched his friend’s Brooklyn home while Shmurda was there visiting.

“When one of the occupants opened the door a slight bit to see who was there, Officer Douglas Corso and other police officers kicked in the door and illegally entered the residence without a search warrant,” documents stated.

He also claims that they tried to pin a gun and drug paraphernalia found at the home on him even though he denies knowing who the owner is. Authorities on the other hand said they entered the home catching Bobby trying to hide a gun in a couch.

Admitting in the lawsuit that he now suffers from permanent “nervous shock and mental anguish”, Pollard accuses officers of also teasing him by “chanting the lyrics to his chart-topping songs.”

The Daily News also reported that the case has since been thrown out and  Shmurda is apparently out on $2 million bail. The rapper is due in court May 11th. The NYPD’s law department has made no comment on the story but we will keep you posted! Lets chat below!
