#Roommates, the Grammy Awards may be over, but the 2021 Billboard Music Awards are just a few weeks away—and this year’s nominations have just been announced. The Weeknd, DaBaby, Pop Smoke and Megan Thee Stallion are the top nominated artists at the Billboard Music Awards, each earning multiple nods for their chart-topping music throughout the last year.

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards were recently announced via livestream telecast—and if you’re a fan of The Weeknd, DaBaby, Pop Smoke or Megan Thee Stallion, you have a lot to celebrate because they racked up dozens of nominations between them. @Billboard reports, The Weeknd leads this year’s nominees with 16 nominations of his own, followed closely by DaBaby who received 11 nominations. Meanwhile, the late Pop Smoke racked up 10 nominations for his debut album, and Megan Thee Stallion represented for all the ladies with her seven nominations.

The Weeknd is nominated for a host of categories, including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album and Top R&B Album, with his chart-topping single “Blinding Lights” recognized in five categories.

DaBaby’s nominations include, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Album and Top Streaming Song. However, some of the biggest honors are for late rappers Pop Smoke and Juice WRLD, with Pop Smoke receiving 10 Billboard Music Award nominations for his debut album “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon”—while Juice WRLD was recognized as a seven-time nominee.

Megan Thee Stallion made the hotties proud with seven nominations for select categories including Top Female Artist, and Top Rap Female Artist. The 2021 Billboard Music Awards are based on the chart period of March 21, 2020 through April 3, 2021, specifically relating to album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social engagement.

Fan-voted categories of Top Social Artist and Top Collaboration are not included in the chart period.

The Billboard Music Awards are set to air live on Sunday, May 23rd at 8PM EST on NBC. The list of performers has not yet been announced.
