San Francisco Police Investigate Acting Police Chief’s Death Threats

While violence against the police seems to be on the rise, the San Francisco police are now investigating a racial death threat made against acting SFPD Chief Toney Chaplin.

Saturday morning a Twitter user tweeted, ” Let us behead this black man,” along with a prayer, photos of Chaplin, an image of a guillotine and a “White Trade Only” sign.

Police have since taken 60-year-old Donald Eric Hoganson into custody as a suspect.

Interestingly enough, the tweets come nearly a week after KKK signs were passed out in the Haight neighborhood of San Francisco.

Chaplin is currently investigating shootings involving officers in San Francisco and was just named acting chief in May.

SFPD are still investigating if the Twitter account is credible.
