Of all the things middle schoolers have to deal with, being stabbed is not very high on that list. Except for Kyler Davila, a Colorado Springs Middle schooler who was stabbed while at school and suffered a collapsed lung.
Kyler is no stranger to being bullied at Carmel Middle School. According to XXL, he was often teased and taunted “for not being able to wear [regular] shoes.”
Children at his school can say what they want about Kyler but they can’t say that he isn’t a good sport! Amidst all his bullying, Kyler made lemonade! He began to collect shoes for other children who also could not wear regular shoes so that they don’t have to feel what his peers made him feel.
“I had three pairs of shoes donated to me, because I was being bullied about my shoes and I really liked the feeling and I didn’t want other kids to get bullied because of their shoes and I wanted other kids to have that same feeling, so I started collecting them for other kids,” he said to Fox21.
Who said karma always had to be a female dog?
During his hospital recovery, Kyler was paid a surprise visit from his favorite rapper, Lil Flip, who was reportedly in town for a show when he heard how Kyler was making the best of his situation.
Flip is now a proud donator of shoes from his line to Kyler for his project.
