Many Times Square train riders got the shock of their life when a woman was purposefully pushed in front of an oncoming 1 train this afternoon.
According to the NY Daily News, witnesses say the unidentified victim was seen arguing with a woman wearing a pink shirt and scarf on the southbound 1 train platform at the 42nd street stop. The woman in pink then allegedly pushed her in the path of the train.
It is unclear why the two women were fighting but fortunately the alleged assailant has been taken into custody. It was alleged that two other women may have been involved.
“About 5 minutes ago 20 police officers escorted her out. She was… in mid twenties, her head was up — kinda proud of what she did,” a witness said.
Police and firefighters are still investigating the scene which has caused major delays on the 1, 2, and 3 train lines.
