Roommates, do y’all remember the 90’s show “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper” featuring Mark Curry and Holly Robinson-Peete? It was a very wholesome show about an NBA player turned teacher who finds himself rooming with two women–one of which, Holly Robinson-Peete, later becomes his fiancé. With all that is going on in the world, we could use a burst of black 90’s nostalgia and according to Holly, it might come in the form of a “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper” reboot!
Here’s what she exclusively told VH1:
“I would love to do it and I do feel that ’90s love and I told them I’m down for it, so we’ll see. According to Mark Curry, who was Mr. Cooper, yes. Ironically our kids are in elementary school together, so I’m still hanging with Mr. Cooper every day. And I asked Raven, and she was like, ’Absolutely. I’d do it.’ I’m hoping we will [and] we were encouraged by the fact that Jeff Franklin did the revival of Full House for Netflix and he’s the creator of our show as well. We have all reached out to him to say that if there’s interest, we are all down to do it.”
If Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper does get that reboot, then between that and her “That’s So Raven” reboot, Raven-Symoné is about to be so busy! I’m here for it all!
