Beyoncé’s ‘Daddy Lesson’s Allegedly Rejected By The Grammy Country Committee

Earlier this week the nominations for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards were released.

Beyoncé has been nominated for a total of nine awards, making her the most nominated woman artist in Grammy history.

Word is she could have had been eligible for more nominations, but it didn’t happen due to the Grammy Country Committee rejecting her song “Daddy Lessons.”

According to Billboard, a person who is very familiar with the Grammy nomination process told the Associated Press that Beyoncé allegedly submitted her song “Daddy Lessons,” to the country category.

The person, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the person was not allowed to speak publicly about the topic, said the Country Music Committee did not accept the song.

Had the song been accepted, Beyoncé would have been eligible to be nominated for categories such as “Best Country Song,” and “Best Country Performance.”

Beyoncé performed the song at the years Country Music Awards along with the Dixie Chicks, and received a welcome from other country artists like Blake Shelton and Dierks Bentley.
