As the clock runs down for 2016, so arePresident Barack Obama’s days in the Oval Office. It’s unfortunate that he is barred from running again after already serving two terms but he did say had he ran againhe could’ve beaten Donald Trump…. don’t see any lies here!
During a podcast interview on “The Axe Files” , POTUS admitted that he believes he wouldn’t regained the White House for a third term had he ran again.
I am confident in this vision because Im confident that if I had run again and articulated it, I think I couldve mobilized a majority of the American people to rally behind it, Obama toldformer aide David Axelrod.
I know that in conversations that Ive had with people around the country, even some people who disagreed with me, they would say, The vision, the direction that you point towards is the right one,’ the outgoing president said.
He also talked about getting emotional at his recent senior staff send-off dinner as he realized the “band” was breakingup.
We had our senior staff dinner I got through about four minutes of the thing and started getting the hanky out, he admitted.
He continued,
Overall, this place never got cynical.Wenever had that fire snuffed out. That is a point of pride for me, he said.
As far as his wife goes, Michelle Obama can expect a nice vacation because “she deserves it.” Oh we know she does!
Don’t worry the Obamas won’t be out of the limelight for too long, we can expect a book sometime in the near future.
