Jersey Gardens Mall turned into a circus Monday evening after a chair slammed during a fight, leaving many to believe that there was a shooting.
According to Pix11, police responded to the call at 5 pm, and by the next hour the entire mall was being evacuated. It was later confirmed that there wasn’t a shooting, a shopper yelled “shots fired” after hearing the loud bang from the chair being slammed.
Thankfully it was just a false alarm but it caused a major backup on the highway.
