UK Petition To Cancel Trump’s Visit Reaches 1.3 Million Signatures

The wrath of Donnie has been an unwanted gift that keeps on giving and more and more countries don’t want anything to do with it.

According to CNN, a petition on the country’s Government and Parliament website created to cancel Donald Trump’s visit to the UK has garnered over 1.3 million signatures amid controversy over his “Muslim Ban.” The actual petition was created back in November with only 372 signatures but after his weekend antics those numbers soared.

The petition states that Trump should be “disqualified” from meeting the Queen because of his unpopular views, “Donald Trump’s well documented misogyny and vulgarity disqualifies him from being received by Her Majesty the Queen or the Prince of Wales. Therefore during the term of his presidency Donald Trump should not be invited to the United Kingdom for an official State Visit.”

Even though the Parliament is technically forced to review any petition that gains over 10ok signatures, Prime Minister Theresa May, who visited Trump last week, says “we do not agree with this kind of approach” and that immigration should be an issue that should be dealt within America domestically via her spokesperson.

“We’ve been very clear that the invitation has been extended and it has been accepted,” her spokesperson said. “The UK and the US have a very strong and close relationship and it’s right that we continue to work together. In terms of the petition being signed, it will be a matter for parliament now on whether it is debated.”

Let’s chat below, should the UK reciprocate a ban on Donald Trump?
