Last month, President Trump attempted to enforce a #muslimban but of course, it only continued to increase racial tensions. Well, Lindsay Lohan is now claiming that she experienced “firsthand” what it felt like to be racially profiled after she was mistaken for a Muslim woman at London’s Heathrow Airport. She claims that an airport employee racially profiled her as she was wearing a scarf when she was only wearing it out of “personal respect” while visiting Turkey.
“When I was flying to New York recently, I was wearing [a] headscarf and I got stopped at the airport and racially profiled for the first time in my life,” she told Good Morning Britain. Lohan then explained that the female employee “opened my passport and saw ‘Lindsay Lohan’ and started immediately apologizing.” However, the actress says she was still instructed to remove the scarf.
Next, she says that she was “scarred” and calls the experience “jarring.” “…How would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel?” Lohan questioned.
This experience comes after the actress was photographed reading the Quran which caused speculation that she could be converting to Islam.
As for being “racially profiled,” should Lindsay’s arm be tired from reaching?
