Former FLOTUS #MichelleObama and former #POTUS #GeorgeWBush couldn’t be any more different. They both come from different walks of life and come from two different political parties but it still never stopped them from becoming really good friends.
In an interview with, People, Bush explained that he liked Michelle because they enjoyed the same humor. “She kind of likes my sense of humor,” he said. “Anybody who likes my sense of humor, I immediately like.”
Over the years, the former president and the former First Lady have sat next to each other at events such as Nancy Reagan’s memorial service, a memorial service for the Texas police officers slain last year, and the dedication ceremony marking the opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture back in September.
“I can’t remember where else I’ve sat next to her, but I probably have a few wise cracks and she seemed to like it okay,” Bush said. “I needle her a little bit and around her, I’m fairly lighthearted. [The Obamas] are around serious people all the time and we just took to each other.”
This is a very unlikely pair, but if they like it then we love it! Roommates, do you have an unlikely friendship?
