Omari Hardwick and Meagan Good have signed on to star in a new romantic drama, which takes place on a night we all may be familiar with, the 2016 presidential election.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Qasim Basir, who will also be serving as the director, penned the script for the project.
Based on the synopsis, Omari Hardwick will star as “a Los Angeles club promoter named Cass, who, on the night of the 2016 presidential election, meets a woman named Free (Good). She challenges him to revisit his broken dreams during a series of events that occur as Donald Trump surges ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for electoral votes to win the White House.”
Other well-known names attached to the project include Jay Ellis, Wesley Jonathan, and Affion Crocket.
Datari Turner will produce the project, and Omari Hardwick and Meagan Good will serve as executive producers along with a few others.
Production for the film has already started in Los Angeles.
