As the U.K. try to recover from the Manchester bombing that claimed 22 innocent lives and injured more than 100 others, one Beverly Hills-based non-profit is hoping to help survivors in a major way.
Face Forward, a non-profit dedicated to helping “survivors of violent and disfiguring crimes put their best face forwards after suffering domestic abuse,” is prepared to give free surgeries to any victims in need. If you’re wondering about travel and housing don’t worry the company also has that covered.
Face Forward is offering victims free facial reconstructive surgeries. Face Forward is also offering airfare, accommodations, anesthesiologists, medicine and an after-care nurse. The team includes surgeons, doctors, dentists and therapists.
The org’s been around for a decade now with big celebs — from Sharon Stone and Nelly to “Sugar” Shane Mosley — touting its work.
Some of the most extreme examples … reconstructive surgery for a Kenyan boy whose face was distorted after he was beaten at an orphanage, and a domestically abused woman who needed to have her jaw wired shut for a year.
Ariana Grande is still distraught about what happened and it has been reported that her “Dangerous Woman” tour is postponed through June 5th as her team tries to iron out security issues.
“Due to the tragic events in Manchester the Dangerous Woman tour with Ariana Grande has been suspended until we can further assess the situation and pay our proper respects to those lost,” her management team said in a statement.
“The London O2 shows this week have been cancelled as well as all shows thru June 5 in Switzerland. We ask at this time that we all continue to support the city of Manchester and all those families affected by this cowardice and senseless act of violence.”
“Our way of life has once again been threatened but we will overcome this together. Thank you.”
