We’ve established that 2020 has been full of surprises and the year continues to try and outdo itself. On Monday, 50 Cent put another bid to be part of the memory book that this disastrous year will have by urging people to vote for Donald Trump.
To no one’s surprise, 50 Cent appeared to be motivated by money in this recent decision. He shared a screenshot from a report put out by CNBC, which suggested that Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden’s tax plan could create a tax rate of as much as 62 percent for New Yorkers and Californians.
One important thing to note, that tax hike would only apply to people who make more than $400,000 and anyone who made less would likely see a decrease in taxes.
To put things into perspective, 50 Cent’s net worth has been estimated to be around $30 million, according to celebritynetworth.com, so it’s not much of a shocker to know that he’d be in favor of the candidate who claims to not cost him more money.
But perhaps it was 50’s words that went along with his unofficial endorsement that had people feeling a way.
“WHAT THE F**K! (VOTE For TRUMP),” 50 Cent said in his caption of the screenshot he shared. “IM OUT…F**K New York The KNICKS never win anyway. I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f***ing mind.”
While it seems the overwhelming majority of celebrities have endorsed Joe Biden, there are still quite of few right-winged celebs who have vowed to cast their vote for Trump.
50 joins other stars such as Kid Rock, Kirstie Allie and Rosanne Barr. As far as Black celebrities go, Trump has also gotten support from former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Isaiah Washington and Jaheim.
We’ll keep you posted as Election Day nears!
