It looks like it’s almost that time of year again as the nominations for MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMAs) were announced on Wednesday. A number of artists have been recognized for their contributions to music over the past year, including Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Bieber who are leading in nominations.
Megan has a total of six nominations. She and Cardi B. are nominated for Video of the Year for their hit record “WAP.” The single has also been nominated for Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, and Best Hip-Hop. Justin Bieber earned a total of seven nominations, also including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Pop, among a few other categories.
This year’s VMA’s will be returning to New York City on September 12th and will be taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Fans are now able to vote between now and September 3rd for their favorite artist across a total of 14 categories.
