Last Tuesday, a little girl who has now been identified as 9-year-old #TrinityLoveJones, was found dead in a duffle bag near a Los Angeles trail.
There have been two people detained and taken in for questioning in connection to the case. Officials have not released their names yet, but we can expect more information later this week.
Last week, Trinity was found near a trail in Hacienda Heights in Los Angeles. At the time, word passed along on social media about a little girl who was found dead in a duffle bag, and there was even a sketch of her and the clothes that she was wearing.
According to @nypost, Los Angeles County Sheriff, Capt. #KentWegener, who oversees the homicide bureau, said there are many detectives that are going to be assigned to this case, and they will also assist with the investigation. He went on to say the department has been receiving numerous tips this past week, which led to the parents being identified and speaking over the death of their youngest child.
Trinity’s parents, family members, and the community came together for a memorial on Sunday evening. Her father, Antonio Jones, described her as “fun, loving, big heart, bubbly. Little girl could’ve been whatever she wanted to be in life,” ABC News reports.
Although detectives have not released how Trinity passed, they are working on getting an autopsy and having some tests done on her body to further explain and confirm how she died.
