Larsa Pippen says she’s “traumatized” and “embarrassed” by Michael Jordan’s comments where he appears to disapprove of her relationship with his son, Marcus.

Larsa Says She Was “Embarrassed,” “Traumatized” After Michael Jordan’s Public Disapproval
The 49-year-old “Real Housewives of Miami” star discussed the fallout with Jordan, 60. over her relationship with his 32-year-old son during a recent episode of the couple’s ‘Separation Anxiety‘ podcast. The episode is titled “Father Knows Best.”
The couple discussed the NBA legend’s recent encounter with paparazzi, where he said he disapproves of his son’s relationship with the “Real Housewives of Miami” star, as reported by The Shade Room last week.

“You thought it was funny,” Larsa told Marcus during the podcast episode. “I didn’t think it was funny. There is nothing funny about it… I kinda felt like it went everywhere and I was kind of embarrassed.”
The reality TV star had caught some flack after her comments on ‘The Tamron Hall Show‘ in March. At the time, Larsa said the couple had Jordan’s blessing, and their families were getting along well, adding to the embarrassment.
“It literally went everywhere,” Larsa said. “I think people started to think that online they were saying that I was lying — that I lied and said that our parents are fine because I was doing interviews and saying both of our families are fine.”

Pippen went on to conjecture as to what MJ’s problem is with her. She said, “It (is) probably awkward for my ex (Scottie Pippen) and your dad because they have their own relationship or whatever it was.”
“I wasn’t a part of that, you weren’t a part of that. So I feel like for them it probably is weird, it probably is weird for your dad. I can’t be mad. I understand… Oh my god, I was traumatized,” she said. “I was like what are we going to do, people think I lied.”
Larsa’s divorce from Pippen, 57, was finalized in December 2021, according to U.S. Magazine. She filed in 2018 after reconciling with the former Chicago Bull following a breakup in 2016, the outlet reports.
The eldest of their four children, 22-year-old Scotty Jr., is barely a decade younger than his mother’s current paramour.
Marcus Jordan Comes To Father’s Defense, Says He Texted Him Right After Paparazzi Encounter
If you recall, Michael Jordan caused quite a stir on social media earlier this month after telling the paparazzi, “No!” followed by laughter when asked if he approves of Marcus’ relationship with Larsa.
Meanwhile, Marcus attempted to explain away his father’s seemingly calloused response to their relationship. He claimed Jordan had likely enjoyed too much of his Cincoro tequila when answering the reporter’s question.
Marcus added that his dad texted him right after the incident with the paparazzi. He reportedly assured his son that he did not seriously mean it.
“…We obviously talked to both of our parents and we had their approval. I think he was making a joke and it got blown out of proportion… if you don’t know who my dad is at his core then it could be taken the wrong way.”
