Jennifer Lawrence Threw Hella Shade At Lindsay Lohan, But She Claps Back With, ‘Still I Rise’
So J-Law, as our lesser melanated friends call her, visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote her new movie Joy, which comes out later this month. Everything was going good in the interview until she had the nerve to come for Lindsay Lohan’s sobriety, which she joked about with Stephen Colbert. She spoke about how she got a stomach virus while she was filming.
“I puked yesterday. I’m a puker. I’m a big-time puker. I think I have, like, nervous…I think that I don’t stop working, because I’m a show pony. I don’t have a choice. So, I just keep going, I think, until eventually my body’s just like, ‘If we don’t make her barf or pass out, she won’t stop.’ I get, like, Lindsay Lohan grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol.” That was totally uncalled for, but what Jennifer didn’t know was that Lindsay’s sister has her back at all times!
Lindsay saw the clip and instead of clapping back, she quoted “Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou. Yasss! What a way to take the high road.
I can’t say the same for her sister, Ali, though. She took to Twitter and explained that J-Law has officially lost her as a fan! Ali said that she’s “disappointed,” but is standing with Lindsay in the wake of J-Law’s classless joke. Lindsay has made great strides with her sobriety this year, so I think she’s owed an apology!
