Bad news for Omeeka. Today in court, a judge found that Meek Mill did in fact violate his probation. He allegedly disobeyed his travel restrictions and turned in a drug test that was not his and now could be facing jail time.
Today in the Philadelphia court, Meek testified on his own behalf and pleaded to the judge that he doesn’t want to be gangsta no more. He even apologized for calling the DA a “b*tch” in one of his songs. None of this helped. This comes just one week after he and his girlfriend Nicki Minaj testified on his behalf and Nicki vowed to help him with his probation.
“I have the potential to be greater than I am today,” Meek told the courtroom. “I have my queen Nicki now. I’m trying to do better and I feel like I can be the best rapper out there.”
The judged set the sentencing date for Feburary 5th and Meek is not allowed to leave Philadelphia at all up until this court date when it’s decided if he will face some serious jail time.
On top of not being able to leave Philly, Meek can’t perform at all nor can he go to Jersey to visit his sick mother.
Twitter showed support for meek with tons of tweets sending prayers and thoughts and people like Chris Brown spoke out against the law in a series of tweets saying that the system is set on “bulls***” and that he wishes the judge could the influence Meek could have out of jail rather than inside of it.
Hope he takes this as s lesson learned.
