Tensions recently got heated in a House Oversight Committee meeting as comments flew between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Jasmine Crockett.

Here’s How Things Popped Off
According to NBC News, the House Oversight Committee convened for a meeting on Thursday, May 16. During the event, the outlet notes that the gathering turned into “personal attacks and partisan bickering.”
The outlet reports that things got turnt up after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene responded to a question from Rep. Jasmine Crockett.
“I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading,” Taylor reportedly told Crockett.
At that point, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ordered Greene to apologize to Crocket. Ocasio-Cortez called Greene’s statement “unacceptable” and cited her for “attack[ing] the physical appearance of another person.”
Instead of apologizing, Greene reportedly shifted her focus to Ocasio-Cortez.
“Are your feelings hurt?” she asked.
Additionally, Greene insulted Ocasio-Cortez by saying she didn’t have “enough intelligence” to debate her. Ultimately, Greene refused to abide by Ocasio-Cortez’s request for an apology, saying, “You will never get an apology out of me.”
From there, Democratic members reportedly requested that Greene apologize for her comment to Crockett. However, it was ruled that Greene “did not violate House rules against engaging in ‘personalities’ during debate.”
From there, Crockett decided to take her own defense into her own hands.
“I’m just curious, just to better understand your ruling,” she said. “If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blond, bad-built butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?”

As election season continues, things have recently been getting SPICY in the White House and its corresponding entities. As The Shade Room previously reported, in April, President Joe Biden turned up his shade against former President Donald Trump while at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
