LeToya Luckett is enjoying that newly-wed bliss with her husband, Taleo Coles. On Thursday (August 1), Essence shared an inside look at the couple’s lavish ceremony in Houston, Texas. Now, the singer is sharing the wedding vows that had their family and friends shedding tears in the audience!

See What LeToya Luckett Said In Her Wedding Vows For Taleo
As previously reported, LeToya and Taleo shared a mutual friend for 20 years. Then, in 2022, they started testing their potential connection with conversations. Knowing he wanted LeToya as his forever lady, Taleo packed up and moved to Texas from North Carolina. Ahead of walking down the aisle, LeToya told Essence her kids, Gianna and Tysun, see their relationship and them as “true love.”
During her wedding vows, she spoke passionately and emotionally about their “true love,” saying it “feels like rest.” She also seemingly spoke directly to God, thanking Him for keeping His “promise,” restoring her, and bringing a man like Taleo to her doorstep.
“Thank you, Lord, for being so intentional in putting together a man so caring and supportive, who leads with care and patience,” LeToya said through sniffles.
Meanwhile, her husband-to-be at the time gently wiped tears from his bride’s face throughout her vows. “I stand with…gratitude, surrendering and giving you all authority over our marriage.”
“I found the one who my soul loves deeply,” she said.
As previously reported, the event space was decorated with hundreds of white and cream florals, including her mixed-flower bridal bouquet. They said their “I dos” in front of 200 guests at the Teesrae in Houston—a venue her now-husband found.
Meagan Good’s ex-husband, Pastor Devon Franklin, officiated the ceremony. Additionally, the crowd was star-studded, from Ms. Tina Knowles and Toya Wright-Rushing to Tammy Franklin and Bun B. LeToya’s two children were also at the celebration of love. One heartwarming photo shared by PEOPLE shows LeToya’s daughter embracing her stepfather.
