Akbar V is putting herself back on the market! The amateur rapper announced her divorce one year after introducing her husband, Bean, legal name Shakeem Taylor.

Akbar V Speaks On Her Relationship Split
V revealed the life update in an Instagram post on Sept. 21. She shared a photo of the front page of her divorce paperwork, filed at the Cobb County Superior Court. Akbar, legal name Valerie Raven, checked the box indicting she’s a resident in the document. In her post caption, Akbar V shared that she secured Bean’s permission to make the announcement.
“Today I file for divorce, and the reason I’m addressing this is because it was so many people who saw me in courtroom, and I didn’t want anyone to tell my story before I got to tell it… I think this was the best decision I could make me and Bean kool with it he told me this was kool to post … I want him to be free and find someone who fits him.”
As mentioned, V shared she had tied the knot last June and shared a photo hugging her boo with the caption, “I said yes…” Not much is known about the marriage, though. According to blogger Ice Cream Convos, V allegedly accused Bean of being a “clout chaser” after he clarified that her daughter was not “fighting for her life.” The mother tearfully addressed the internet ahead of Christmas, asking critics to stop saying her daughter’s medical emergency was V’s “karma.”
In response to his wife’s video, Bean allegedly wrote, “Dora is not fighting for her life. She can walk on her own, talk on her own, She’s able to hear and see. To Those that her her in your prayers, please continue to do so. Thanks! It’s appreciated.”
V popped off in her response, allegedly writing, “I married a clout chaser…now that’s my karma…I want a divorce.” In her divorce announcement, Akbar didn’t reveal the exact reason behind filing for divorce, but she shared that the rest of her energy is dedicated to her career and kids.
Rapper Recently Spoke On Loyalty
Akbar’s divorce announcement comes about two weeks after she shared a cryptic message about loyalty on social media. V’s messages got a lil’ bit of traction on X (formerly Twitter) as some questioned whether she was throwing digs at her ‘Super Freaky Girl’ collaborator Nicki Minaj.
But the rapper seemingly shut that narrative down, saying her message about loyal women reflects her “real life.”
