Draya Claps Back At Laura Govan
Well, chile! Draya Michele had some things to say to Laura for bringing her up. On Wednesday, October 30, Draya popped off on her Instagram Stories, questioning why people keep mentioning her when she isn’t bothering anyone. “I don’t bother nobody. Why does nobody bother me?” Draya wrote.

Draya Michele continued to explain in her IG Stories that she’s fed up with being “cyberbullied.”
“First, I’m not the type of person to clear s**t up, but enough is enough. I’ve been cyber bullied for almost 12 months straight by both men and women. And have stayed quiet. I don’t care about likes, comments, or going viral. But if I’m going to trend, I’m going to trend today and all f****g day,” Draya wrote.
Michele also clarified her timeline with Gilbert Arenas and called out Laura Govan, insisting that Laura’s accusations don’t add up. “Timelines aren’t time lining. And I’m sorry to people that can’t understand that,” Draya stated.
Draya clarified that she never messed with anyone’s husband, despite Laura accusing her of hooking up with Gilbert Arenas. Draya emphasized that no one was married back then and stated that she interacted with Gilbert Arenas “years” before joining ‘Basketball Wives LA.’ The television star also said she didn’t know Laura or her sister before the show, insisting that Laura calling her a “friend” during the interview was a stretch. Additionally, she pointed out that she joined the show as a friend to Gloria, Laura Govan’s sister, but she still had no idea who Laura was.
While addressing Laura’s comments, Draya made it clear that she never goes online to bash anyone, but she’ll always share her side of the story.
“I certainly don’t blame the woman in any situation where I am owed some of respect from my man. I don’t get on the internet and tell my side of the story often because I respect the fact that it’s only my side. I give a lot of people grace by being quiet and not sharing,” Draya continued.
Draya Michele also implied that if she had any “dirty laundry,” the reality TV show would’ve aired it since her storyline “carried” the show.
“I hope you read this in a tone that is of a strong woman once again coming to the internet, defending herself. And not a victim. I’m never a victim. I am a victor. Now, if you will excuse me. I will get back to my very normal non-reality TV related multifaceted life. Thank you.”
She also urged everyone to get out and vote, specifically for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Here’s What Laura Govan Said About Draya
Laura Govan spilled the tea while chattin’ with Carlos King on his podcast. She confirmed that she and Gilbert never married but share four kids after 12 years spent together. Govan told Carlos she knew Draya and Gilbert hooked up but didn’t realize Draya was his “jumpoff” on ‘Basketball Wives LA.’
Eventually, she discovered that Gilbert allegedly gave Draya $25,000 and brought her to Los Angeles. Govan then recalled how she confronted Draya while she was filming for the show after discovering papers from Gilbert, which led to an altercation between them. She also revealed that the incident did not air on ‘Basketball Wives LA’ because they allegedly didn’t want it to air.
“I remember I was not suppose to be filming and I walked passed everybody and I beat the f*** out of her. And it did not air. They did not want that air. I beat the f*** out of Draya. I think I picked her up by her p**** and her collar bone and threw her. And then I spit on her,” Laura said.
Laura explained that she felt betrayed because they were friends, and Draya used to help her with her social media. She then expressed that she believed she had to confront her because Draya knew about her involvement with Gilbert but still pursued him.
