SZA left the internet a lil’ confused after recently speaking about her BBL surgery. The ‘Snooze’ singer spoke to British Vogue about getting the procedure done and whether she has any regrets. But her statement had social media users scratching their heads after it seemed to bounce between yes and no.
For context, SZA first hinted that she underwent the procedure during her 2022 album, ‘SOS.’ On the song ‘Conceited,’ she sings, “I just got my body done, ain’t got no guilt about it / I just heard your opinion, I could’ve did without it.”
SZA Opens Up About Getting A BBL
Before introducing SZA’s response, British Vogue also noted that her answer was slightly contradictory. She admitted to being upset about getting the Brazilian butt lift surgery but also said she loves to make peach bounce! She told Vogue that at the start of 2022, she started working out and developed muscle, but her butt wasn’t growing at the pace she wanted. That same year, SZA joined the BBL girlies with a curvy makeover! “I’m so mad I did that sh*t,” she told the outlet in an interview published on Nov. 14. She shared that healing was the hardest part of the surgery. Immediately after, SZA acknowledged that she didn’t need the BBL, but added that she’s not opposed to surgery.
“I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid. But who gives a f**k? You got a BBL; you realize you didn’t need the sh*t. It doesn’t matter. I’ll do a whole bunch more sh*t just like it if I want to before I’m f**king dead because this body is temporary,” the singer said.
Without missing a beat, SZA kept yapping about the subject, flip-flopping between the benefits and downsides.
“It just wasn’t super necessary – I have other shit that I need to work on about myself… I need to get my f**king mental health together… Not to say you can’t do those things simultaneously, just, for me, I realize wherever you go, there you’ll be. But I love my butt. Don’t get me wrong. My booty look nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much… I don’t know, sometimes natural, but I don’t even care. It’s something that I wanted. I’m enjoying it. I love shaking it.”

Earlier this year, she opened up about taking out the implants after her fibroids worsened and caused thick scar tissue. “I didn’t feel good and it was painful,” she shared. While her curvy bottom-half might be credited to the BBL, SZA admitted the boobies are now all natural.
