Roommates, it looks like Claressa Shields is in that sweet honeymoon stage with Papoose! The undisputed heavyweight champ recently opened up about loving someone who is also ready to love!
“I’m happy to love somebody who’s ready to love somebody back. He is such a sweetheart,” Claressa said in a video shared by The Shade Room.
Mind you, it’s only been a few days since the new couple were boo’ed up while arriving at her boxing match. Papoose was front and center for Claressa, even performing during her ring walk-up.

On live, Claressa also addressed the viral moment of Papoose fixing her shoe. She said that she didn’t ask him to do it, but he wanted them laced “right.”
“He’s definitely a sweetheart. But he deserves the best, and I am the best,” she said.
It’s 100% LOVE for her! The boxing champ said Papoose’s support and how he speaks to her are “very different” from her past experiences. As for being a public couple, Claressa said she doesn’t mind, but at the same time, she wants to keep him all to herself! Also, for the trolls weighing in on whether their relationship was an upgrade or downgrade, Shields isn’t worried about those comments!
“…that’s not what love is about because I think we both feel like we both upgraded. But it’s not about feeling like if you upgraded or downgraded, it’s about you feeling like you with somebody you really love!”
Oh, So Papoose & Claressa Shields Are Together, Together?
Papoose’s estranged wife, Remy Ma, was the first to expose his new romance in December. She revealed texts between them on her IG, and that led to responses from everyone involved. Papoose claimed that he’s BEEN seeking to separate from Remy and claimed he beat up Remy Ma’s battle rapper boo, Eazy Tha Block Captain. Shields accused her of having multiple boyfriends.
Eazy clapped back, and so did Remy. All in all, the drama was tense online! Ma has since stopped chattin’ about THEM and started affirming Eazy as her new bae. And, from the looks of it, Claressa and Papoose are on the same beat!
